Now most of my bitching will be aimed at the HDD and internet connection until further notice.

heh. You're lucky to have that kind of memory. I've got 512 of pc2100. We're talking outdated as of before I bought it 3 years ago.

Hehe, I had 512MB up until about four hours ago... I finally came to the conclusion that whilst video games may be fun, my PC is starting to hate me now. ^^; So my video game fund went on (some pretty cheap) RAM instead. It's not the world's fastest kind, but I somehow doubt that Dell put stunningly fast RAM in as standard anyway...

The sole reason I bought upgraded RAM was for video games. My PC had a nasty problem of locking up mid-game and I couldn't figure out why. As it turns out, the memory was literally overheating. And my Star Wars Galaxies trial was ticking away. So I gave in and bought the blasted $70 chip, which literally drained my wallet.

It's much the same thing here, only my 3D work was making the PC very, very upset as well as my games running like slugs in treacle.

Overheating, ouch. x_x But was SWG worth it? *never played it*

SWG was, by far, the best MMORPG I've ever played. But then again, EverQuest is the only other one I've played, and I didn't like it.

My computer can't even run SW Republic Commando without going hecka choppy, and it's partly because I've only got 512 of pc2100 (which you could get for about 20 bucks nowadays), and I've got an old 950MHz processor. I need to massively upgrade. My little brother's computer is better than mine in every way except peripherals, and it cost only $400. Go figure.

Female dog. I've only got one gb and its not ddr2.

Oh that reminds me I encountered a site where you could download all of the eurovision songs. Do you want a copy?

Hehe, that's why I had to ask what the website was. ^_^; It's very cheap from there though. I was expecting it to be much pricier than it was - although I did pretty much go for the cheapest option. >_> As to the DDR2, I was surprised that Dell splashed out even that much on the RAM - it was a pretty cheap PC and they don't stock Dimension 4700s any more.

Oooh, I'm quite tempted~! Please! :D And would you like a copy of this year's album at all? Most of the songs are pretty good.

Hehe, it's one of those things I've been meaning to do for a long time now. My poor PC's gotta be about... *thinks* at least two years old now and the more memory intensive apps get, the more it hates me. XD

I probably shouldn't have cut down on the RAM when I ordered it, but something had to go so I could get a half decent (at the time) GFX card.

Dammit, that's probably at least 10* the amount I've got in my comp right now...

I need more money >.>

It's a vast improvement over what I had before too... by about 2GB. XD I got it from http://www.crucial.com/uk/ - maybe you'll find some on there that's what you're looking for?
