I've started to learn how to change gears as you go round islands. It's a little creepy...

Had to get my hi-vis vest out the back of my car to show the guy at the new gate that I did actually work there and thus I was allowed to go onto the road up to the plots. -_-;;

Stalled it a couple of times, again, ho-hum. Kinda getting the hang of gears now, and thus likely to bugger it all up seriously next lesson. Still think I'm unsafe to be on a road with actual. moving. cars... 30MPH is a scary speed...

You're not the only one who thinks you're unsafe to be on a road but thankfully I live far enough away not to let it worry me (much) :P

Seriously though you'll suddenly reach a point where pootling along at 30 through little villages suddenly seems horribly slow. Or at least that's what I and certain friends found.

Perhaps so... the 30MPH I hit always means I have to promptly change back down the gears again. It's a private road, and that's great, but... it's only a short distance between piddling little islands. :(

I will one day not be unsafe! *victory pose*

Or I'll be dead. -_-;; Which would mean my unsafeness got the better of me.

But hey, I finally got to use my window wipers today. :P

"But hey, I finally got to use my window wipers today. :P" - Lucky you, it doesn't get any more exciting than that :P

Only time I remember using my wipers was the evening I nearly gave my instructor a heartattack going 50 odd down some windy lane with a drop to the left and getting the windscreen coated in water by a lorry going the other way. Can't remember which of us got the windscreen wipers going first, just that after a moments blind panic we both went for it.
